Angry Birds Space Reaches 10 Million Downloads Within Three Days

The Angry Bird creators Rovio, sure are raking in the cash these days. On the official twitter of Angry Birds they announced that they’ve hit 10 million downloads in under 3 days for the new Angry Birds Space game. The game was only launched Thursday but has managed to already create eye-popping numbers; Not to mention, a free version of the game wasn’t an option with this Angry Birds release. According to the top grossing and top paid applications section of the App-store, the $2.99 version of the game and $0.99 version are topping the charts for both the iPad and iPhone. Overall, Rovio could have made nearly 10 million in total profits from all their sales.

Angry Birds Space was launched on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC, so not all sales and revenues were from the iOS app-store.

Many long-term Angry Bird players were disappointed with the game, saying its very different compared to past versions. We can agree with their statements, but we aren’t disappointed with the game. We are introduced to new characters,physics engine, and have 60 mind-boggling tough levels. The toughest part of the game would be the lack or gravity. Its a tough gaming experience overall, especially after the first few levels.
