We all know by now that the New iPad is going to have a Retina Display. At Apples keynote they mentioned that most applications would automatically be available in the retina resolution, but that doesn’t seem to be so. Apple has just launched a new section in the App-store labeled, “Great Apps for the New iPad”. These applications are all retina-ready, and suggested for download by Apple because they show-off the retina display to the max of its ability.
Early in March Apple launched their iOS software development kit to the developers so they would have retina-ready applications for the iPad launch. Apples goal is to show-off and prove that the New iPad is much better than its predecessor. Since the retina display is one of the only few new features, that has to make everyone “wow”.
Apple has put together a total of 24 applications that are ‘Retina ready’, so here is a few that I use on a daily basis; Tweetbot,Evernote, and NYTimes. There is many more to list, many being games, but take a look at them all below:
