The ATH-CKS55i model headphones are apart of Audio-Technica’s Solid Bass headphone set. Whats nice about Audio Technica’s headphones are that they utilize a company exclusive, “Double Air Chamber System” to produce a great sounding bass effect while maintaining quality. The earpieces provided even include an extra chamber to work in-par with the headphones to enhance the bass quality.

Besides the highly advertised bass feature of the headphones, they also include a three-button remote to control the volume,play, and pause functions on your iOS devices. The remote even includes a built-in microphone that features an, “omnidirectional pickup pattern (it picks up sound from all directions) and is designed for high-quality, intelligible response, enabling the wearer’s voice to be clearly transmitted without having to speak directly into the mic.”

As stated above, the bass ear-tips are included. In the package includes four silicone tips that come in XS,S,M,L. The ear-tips are unique Audio-Technica tips that enhance the bass, as stated earlier. These headphones connect via the typical 3.5 mm iPhone/iPod headphone jack. Frequencies between 5 – 24,000 Hz can be transmitted using these headphones.

Should You Purchase:

They cost $79.99 and can be considered ‘high end’ headphones for the price. You can never go wrong with Audio-Technica. The quality and bass in the headphones are fantastic. You can pump your volume up to nearly 100 and the music is still clear as can be. These headphones to myself are just as great as a $200 pair of Samsungs or Dr. Dre Beats.
