Dashboard X is a Cydia tweak that allows you to add widgets to your iPad or iPhones home screen. This is the first tweak of sorts, and finally brings Android-like functionality to iOS. I was never a huge Android fan, but widgets happened to be the one particular part of the Android phone I liked. And its great that a jailbreak tweak can bring this type of functionality to iOS.
As of now there isn’t many dedicated extensions for Dashboard X, but the developer luckily allows you to bring jailbreak tweaks from the notification center over to the home screen for use on Dashboard X. Soon though we should see developers creating Dashboard X specific tweaks, and we will make sure to show you them.

The tweak is also very easy to use. To add a new widget all you need to do is put your icons in wiggle mode by holding an application, and than hold a blank space on your springboard. An Add New Widget menu will then pop up allowing you to add a notification center widget to your home screen.
Dashboard X was developed by Cjori and is in the Modmyi repository on Cydia for $1.99 . I’m sure this tweak will go down as one of the most well known tweaks in jailbreak history judging by the anticipation among the jailbreak community already.
