Free Applications Requiring Password Verification Once Again On iOS 6

Remember yesterday’s report regarding free applications not requiring a password prior to downloading? Well Apple has removed the ability in the backend of their server that allowed password-free app downloading. The option was very convenient and should be added to iOS 6, with Apple you just never know what’s going to happen though.

This is a report that had brought a boatload of hype to many iOS users. I was excited myself, but surely the password requirement was back intact within 24 hours later. I’m sure though this won’t be the last time we see this ability in iOS 6 though.

According to Matthew Panzario of TheNextWeb, Apple has actually been seen bringing this functionality back multiple times. We cannot presume anything as of yet, but the fact Apple is testing it and the public had such a positive opinion, we might just see the ability come to iOS 6 and maybe in iOS 5 (Since this can be set in Apples backend).

Do you like the idea of Password-free downloads? Letus know what you think on Twitter or Facebook!
