As GumDrop’s website labels, the case is ready for, “Shock absorption, drop protection, extreme ruggedness and hard-core readiness for all adventures;” Sounds like a pretty convincing case, and I am all for protecting my iPad. The case is literally air-tight onto the iPad, and even provides three separate layers of protection, including the back rugged silicon skin,protectant screen/polycarbonate frame, and another polycarbonate frame.

We’ve seen many cases with the corners left unprotected, but the Drop Tech Case doesn’t provide an open port. The charging port,headphone jack,volume buttons, etc all have a rubber covering. But those features are what allow the case to provide the maximum protection. This case reminds me of the OtterBox defender series for the iPhone, but only being for the iPad.
