With the iPad being such an expensive device marketed at nearly $499 to $829 its a no-brainer that a case or ‘pocket’ of some sort should be bought for protection. One specific case that caught my eye was the SlimJacket by Helium Digital. You may remember this sleek jacket from the International Consumer Electronics show, where it was first shown off. Well the good news is after four months the jacket is finally making its way onto the sales list.

The jacket is compatible with both the iPad 2 and 3, thanks to the similar designs. When purchasing you can choose from 3 ‘fashion colours’, Fiery Red, Charcoal, or Beige. Not to mention the price is only $24.99, almost the best deal you can grab on the net.

Now as you would think, it acts as a carrying pouch for your iPad. The material includes a plastic inside with a paisley-patterned fabric on the outside. The material cannot be ripped or bent easily. If you drop your iPad the material would be thick enough to protect from most realistic falls. In all, the deal is great. And did we mention the pouch could also act as a stand for your iPad if needed?

Should You Buy It

The material is great, the design of the pouch is okay, and protects your device from falls. The only reason you wouldn’t want to purchase the pouch is because the design isn’t the best.
