How To Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 Using Absinthe

As expected, Absinthe 2.0.2 was released. And this can be used to jailbreak any iOS 5.1.1 device including the New iPad,iPhone 4s,iPad 2,etc. This jailbreak was highly expected so here are directions and download links for the software needed.

Step 1: Firstly download Absinthe 2.0.2. Once downloaded run the program. (Click For Windows/Click For Mac)

Step 2: Hook up your device to the computer and Absinthe should recognize the device. Now make sure your device is turned on and at the home screen.

Step 3: Click jailbreak. The process will begin. Don’t be alarmed if your device looks as if its being restored and turned on and off.

Step 4: When complete absinthe will notify you on your computer. Now take a look at your home screen and you should see the Cydia icon. If you do, unplug your device.

Step 5: Click on the Cydia icon and start enjoying all the features made available via the jailbreak!
