iPad Demand “Off The Charts” According To Apple

When the New iPad was announced, many of the “Tech Junkies” and Apple employee’s expected no-less than the pre-order stock t0 sell out. But wasn’t to suspect is that the stock sells out within 48 hours of the announcement! Currently the New iPad can be ordered on Apples website, but the expected arrival date is set of March 19th rather than the release date March 16th. So if you want to have the new iPad prior or on March 19th than you might want to pre-order your iPad now, or take a trip to the Apple store early March 16th.

Apple even verified that the New iPads sales were in a high demand currently(Which isn’t a surprise). They even want as far as saying “Off the charts” while talking to USA Today :

“Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased. Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”

This brings suspicious that the New iPad is likely one of Apples largest pre-order event yet. They were prepared for this, but they weren’t prepared for the rush of sales they experienced. All the iPads are currently available for purchase, but currently its first come first serve. If you have plans to purchase the iPad at the Apple store I suggest you get there hours before opening on March 16th.

The reason to speculate why the New iPad sales are up is due to the massively upgraded specs. Apple has added a retina display,A5X Dual core processor,Quad core graphics,5 Mega-pixel camera, 1 GB RAM, and many more minor upgrades. Although the upgrades the iPad underwent, Apple has kept the same prices. If you are interested in what it costs to make an iPad than take a look here.

How long do you think the iPad orders will be backed up? Last year it took Apple 2 years to catch up!
