We’ve heard the iPad Mini would be released this fall alongside the iPhone in many reports as of recently. The one detail never reported along the line was the production base of the tablet. Apples Foxconn factories based in China are sure to be busy with iPhone and New iPad production.
So adding onto the stacked high rumors is the expected production facility. The new smaller sized tablet is rumored for production inside of Brazil’s Foxconn factory in September, ready for a release during the holiday season. Although this doesn’t quite match the latest September/October release, its still very plausible as it is in time for the holiday season.
The iPads production will be based in Brazil, but the CNC machine testing will be brought to China. This news comes directly from a “reliable Chinese source” according to MacOtakara.
The screen size of the iPad Mini is fairly similar to Googles new Nexus 7 tablet, only slightly wider. The device is currently only a prototype, so no guarantees the tablet will be 7 inches.
