Well, the future is looking great in-terms of an iOS 5.1 jailbreak for the iPad 2,iPhone 4s, and New iPad. On April 18th hacker Pod2g took to his twitter to inform everyone that the final exploit was found for the iOS 5.1 jailbreak. He did add that they were working to bypass the ASLR still, and have done so within two days. In the past the ASLR was one tough part to crack, but the iOS 5.1 patch was apparently minor.
Check out Pod2g’s tweet from earlier this morning:
What does this mean? Well firstly, the hardest part of the process is out of the way. Now the jailbreak team needs to package up a jailbreak tool to release to the public. If the past indicates anything, we are only 1 to 2 weeks away from a release. This jailbreak will be fully untethered, meaning you will not need to boot your device from the computer.
Be sure to check back with us because we will have How-to’s on the jailbreak process upon the release. And of coarse, we will cover all the latest news, rumors, and jailbreaks, along with product reviews.
