Leaked iPad Mini Schematics Reveal 7″ Display,Thin body, and 19-Pin Dock Connector

This morning ThinkiOS has exclusively reported a leaked iPad Mini schematic, revealing some new and past-rumored details. Some notable details include a 19-pin dock connector, 7-inch display, and iPod touch-like thinness. Just two days ago an iPad Mini case mold was able to reveal similar information, but lacked many details.

When I say the slimness is comparable to an iPod Touch, I really am telling the truth. The fourth generation iPod Touch is 7.2 mm thick, and the schematic below previews a 7.3 mm thick iPad Mini. If you have ever held a iPod touch, they are extremely thin. I am actually even flabbergasted that this is possible on such a larger device without technology such as liquidmetal.

When measuring the iPad Mini, the screen itself is 7 inches. The device itself though is measured in at 7.87″ tall. The width is 5.3 inches. When comparing that to the third generation iPad, the device is 9.5 inches tall, and 7.31 inches in width. Overall the iPad Mini is much smaller, and should be  on the caliber of competing with the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire.

Also presented on the Schematic view above is the 19-pin dock connector. Previously all iOS devices featured a 30-pin dock connector. This 19-pin connector is expected to come equipped on all future devices.

If you are interested in the back view of the iPad schematic, here you go, take a look:

If your still antsy about this new iPad Mini, here is some more eye-candy for you. Courtesy of ThinkiOS and FullHull some iPad Mini case designs were created and posted.

ThinkiOS is a newer Apple news website. We can’t be entirely sure whether these images are fraudulent, or the real concept. Nonetheless, these were interesting to look at, and spot on with past rumors.

What are your thoughts on these leaked schematics?
