As a child, Pokemon was one of my favorite games. I’m 17 years old right now, and I remember it being just 10 years ago that I played Pokemon. I will admit, I don’t remember much, but when viewing photo’s of the upcoming “Little Masters” iOS game, it sure did bring back memories.
Nintendo, the creator of Pokemon, is just to greedy. Nintendo will not bring any of their games, including mario, over to iOS. This was stated back during 2011 when Nintendo’s chief said, “That is absolutely not under consideration”. They’ve always kept their games locked into their own Nintendo systems. They have the goal of creating popular games and making them only available on their platform so they sell more Nintendo gaming systems. Its smart, but I would think they would profit more from selling games platform-wide.
So a Pokemon alternative for iOS has finally aroused. Its called Little Masters. From the photo above you may see huge similarities if you do remember Pokemon. Its not the same game, but it does use similar graphics, strategies, and more.
Upon Little Masters release it will be free to play. The goal is to capture monsters that can be trained among many different skills and abilities. As they are trained the monsters will become stronger. You can gain in-game currency through battling friends or purchasing through the in-app purchase system.
This game will be online. The game itself will never come close to the classic Pokemon, but I will enjoy the ability to play friends and other online users.
Currently Little Masters is awaiting approval in the iOS app-store. Hopefully its approved and Nintendo doesn’t foresee a copyright on the developer. If nothing happens, I would expect it be in the apps-store during the upcoming weeks.
