LockWee: Widgets for your Lockscreen

Ryan St Onge June 29, 2012 2

I must admit, the lockscreen is quite boring. It does provide the time and date, but Apple could really put much more use to the page. If I could get the weather, news, or even sports scores without unlocking my device, that would be awesome. A cydia tweak called ‘LockWee’ has just that goal, and it will be completed via Notification Center widgets.

LockWee essentially allows you to bring over any Notification Center widgets to the LockScreen. They will be placed in a scrolling bar at the top of the lockscreen, just swipe left to view the widgets you assigned.

Some example widgets you could bring over are weather widgets, RSS feeds, Sport tickers, etc. But please note depending on how the widget is coded, it may not work well with Lockwee.

You can purchase LockWee on Cydia’s Big Boss repository for $0.99 if interested. Just let me know in the comments what you think about this tweak.

    What about DashBoard X?

Dashboard X is great for your springboard, but this is a cheap alternative for just the lockscreen.
