We are around 5 days out until the official release of the new iPad on March 16th, and luckily most of us pre-ordered our devices. But the unlucky few who waited a few days before deciding they wanted the New iPad were greeted with the ‘March 19th’ estimated delivery date while ordering. This means anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered their iPad will need to stand in line at the Apple Store to grab it on March 16th.
According to SlashGear there is a few people already waiting at the Apple Store on Regent Street in London,England. We aren’t very surprised because lines are typical during Apple release events(Just not this early). The night before the official release many Apple stores even have lines containing hundreds of people. It all started back in 2007 when Apple released their original iPhone. But being almost a week out from the release date surprises even us that people are already lined up!
These two guys pictured above go by the name of Ali and Zohaib. They seem to have brought chairs to sit in and some bags of food for their stay. They also seem to have dressed warm because the nights in London can be frigid at times.
Also if the past is an indicator than these guys are smart. As stated above, the lines can tend to get long and stores are expected to have a limited amount of stock due to the pre-orders. Anyone who plans to wait better plan to arrive the night of March 15th at the latest because the lines start to wrap around the mall/street.
Will you be waiting in-line for your iPad? I will be in my warm house waiting for it to be delivered
