Pod2g Figures iPhone 4 iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak

The jailbreak mill has some great news tonight regarding the iOS 5.1 jailbreak! No, not for A5 devices, but A4 devices including the iPhone 4,3GS,iPod touch,and original iPad. Pod2g has just tweeted stating he has successively untethered jailbroke  his iPhone 4. This is great news because the current tethered jailbreak can be one annoying thing if you let your device run out of charge.

For awhile there I was unsure if anyone was working on an iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. We just figured they were busy with the A5 jailbreak. But apparently they have been working on the jailbreak, and what a great job they’ve done.

All there is left to do is wait. Since A4 devices are usually much easier to crack, we could expect the untethered release during the upcoming weeks. But as for the A5/A5X jailbreak, we will have to wait some time.
