Pod2g Shows Off New iPad Jailbreak On Video; Still ‘Some Weeks’ Away

Each and every update we receive from the jailbreak team just ups my excitement level. Yesterday Pod2g took it to twitter announcing he has jailbroken his New iPad on iOS 5.1. This was the first exciting piece of news, but he also had a video in-store, which he release late last night. You can view it above, and provides all the proof needed showing he does indeed have a untethered jailbroken New iPad.

This jailbreak shown above will work with the iPhone 4s/iPad 2/iPad 3, being they all run on either the A5 or A5X chipset.

How long do we have to wait for this jailbreak? According to Pod2g we are still, “some weeks away”. I wouldn’t take this as a bad note either, from the looks of it we are under a month out from a final release.

I myself am looking forward to jailbreaking my New iPad. I want to see how jailbreak tweaks like Dashboard X perform graphic and speed wise on the A5x processor.
