Spigen SGP creates many products for all iOS devices, but check out this new Leather Case in their Folio series for the iPad. Its dedicated for the New iPad but could probably hold an iPad 2 just as well. Before I start the review, I would like everyone to check out the CreTouch store, as they sell this leather folio case along with many other cheap iOS accessories/cases.
The Leather Folio case is pictured above, as you can see the iPad is enclosed within the case already. I guarantee it will not slide right on out, the strap at the bottom allows access for the port, but nothing else. Overall, the thickness of the case is shown, and if you were to drop your iPad the thickness would be enough protection. And the size is really perfect overall.
The case itself is full leather on the front and back. Its smooth with stitching at the edges, making for a gorgeous looking iPad case. The only writing is the indented ‘Spigen’ on the front of the cover.
Spigen has even put in functionality to use the case as a stand. The company promotes two different forms, one latches to the cases indent for a higher view of your iPad. The other stand form sits lower to the table, and as you can see above, the iPad will sit in the indent shown at the bottom left of the photo.
I’m enjoying these two stands, they work in any situation and are even comfortable while typing. And the case is even stable. I’ve used many cases where the iPad felt as if it were going to fall, but not this case.
The outside of the case was created using a smooth faux leather. The inside is a soft smooth fabric. Overall a very durable case in my opinion. The only part of the case I am not a fan of is the fact it covers the speaker. I use my iPad for loud playing music a lot, and the sound level is slightly lowered due to the back covering. Put that aside, and I love this case!
Purchasing Decision:
Well, if you are looking for a Folio case that provides protection, stand positions, and easy access to all ports/switches, than I would suggest the Spigen Folio case. Its a great buying decision, providing an all-in-one case solution. If you are interested than check out the CreTouch store where they cost $67.99. Just think about it, $67.99 for a premium case isn’t much considering you could drop your iPad and be in for a $500+ loss.
