Square Updates Application And Rebrands Name

Square is a unique way of paying, only using your phone. You can leave your wallet and credit cards at home, and the magic of Square will pay your bills. But assuming you already have knowledge of the application, you may want to know about the recent updates that Square has gone through. Early last week Paypal announced a similar service, and Square must’ve felt threatened, so they’ve updated their user-interface and even re-branded themselves as ‘Pay with Square’. But thats not all, they also updated their icon, and it looks nicer, and much more shinier.

Now, what else is new? In the application they actually allow users to open a list of nearby places that accept square, and open a tab at any location. Another feature allows you to search the map and add a Square location to your favorites.

Overall, Here is a list of Square 2.0 Features:

  • ‘Card Case’ is now ‘Pay with Square’.
  • Brand new UI to make paying with Square faster and simpler.
  • Discovering merchants you love is now easier than ever. Browse a map to see what businesses are near you. Or search by typing the name of a business.
  • Add businesses you love to your Favorites list. Share with friends so they can add them too.

Do you like the new interface? I’ve seen mixed reviews thus far.
