Wait, what? T-Mobile is comparing their 4G network to the iPhone 4S on the AT&T network. Yeah you heard that right. Seems odd they are creating such a commercial when T-Mobile themselves could be welcoming the next iPhone within this next year on their network. They currently host over a million unlocked iPhones on the network, and will be installing an HSPA+ (iPhone Compatiable) 19000 MHZ network during Q4 of 2012. Sounds great, hopefully Apple doesn’t have an issue with T-Mobile causing this controversy.
On Youtube T-Mobile wrote this, and provided the video below:
How much faster is T-Mobile’s 4G network compared to the iPhone 4S on AT&T’s network? Don’t blink or you may miss it.
This newest commercial is part of the new ‘Alter Ego’ series. It features an ordinary motorcycle and a 1000cc Ducati motorcycle. Of-coarse the Ducati represented T-Mobiles 4G network, and happened to be flaming fast compared to the ordinary motorcycle in which was used to represent the iPhone 4S internet speeds.
Although T-Mobile is advertising ’4G’, they aren’t actually referring to 4G LTE speeds as AT&T offers. They are rather referring to their HSPA+ network. A bit confusing I must say, I’m suprised they haven’t been called out for false advertising yet.
What do you think about this new commercial?
