The current iPad Nano design is famous for its compact size, being around 1.6 by 1.5 inches in size. Its a perfect device for carrying around in your pocket, and best of all it can complete the basic task of playing your music. I’ve loved my iPod nano for the fact it doesn’t bounce around while working-out as an iPod touch or iPhone would. But lets face it, we haven’t seen the iPod nano updated in a few years, and it is time we see a refresh.
The upcoming iPod nano has to include a refresh well different than the past update. The average consumer needs a reason to upgrade from the current version. If the next iPod nano is anything like the concept below, I would replace my nano in a heartbeat. Some basic features of the iPod nano presented below are weather, nike+, multitouch capabilities , facetiming, and the usual music. But the most notable feature is the concept design of the nano. The dimensions seem to be the size of an iPod touch with a width of the iPad nano.
This design concept is brought to you by Enrico Penello. On his website he includes many more pictures of the concept, and closeups indicating the volume buttons, home button,Wi-fi antenna, and much more.
The number one reason I would buy this concept is because it would be much easier to touch and flip through songs without the use of two hands. I find my current iPod nano hard to hold with a single hand, and that’s one major dislike to the form factor. But truthfully, I can’t really see myself facetiming or making use of the Wi-fi feature. The Wi-fi antenna would be a waste for Apple to implant in my opinion.
