A rumor arised during April regarding a liquidmetal iPhone. The rumor stated the iPhone would be created using liquidmetal with a release during WWDC 2012. So French Designer Antoine Brieux decided to create a concept of what an iPhone may look like if liquidmetal were used. And from the looks off the concept, I would love one of these iPhones! Check out all the pictures on his blog, or stay here for a roundup of the phone.
With use of liquidmetal, Apple would be able to create an iPhone that is light, thin, and even stronger. To give you an idea, the current iPhone is 9.3 mm thick, but a liquidmetal body can be created to be 7.9 mm thick. But keep in mind the concept image shows a 4.5″ iPhone, and I have a hard time believing Apple would tack on such a larger screen. It may not only cause problems with consumers, but application developers would need to re-design their applications.
So lets show you a few pictures of what this LiquidMetal iPhone would look like… The shot below gives you an idea of the iPhones size, and overall just how large the screen is. And you may also notice that the 3.5 mm headphone jack is in the middle of your devices top-side.
Now the one below shows Angry Birds being played on the widescreen landscape mode of the liquidmetal iPhone.
Well thats it for the outside, now how about the inside. According to Brieux he says the next generation iPhone will include the quad-core A6 processor to power the 4.5 inch screen resolution graphics.
What do you prefer, Apples current 3.5 inch screen, or a larger one?
