Where To: Purchase A Warranty For Your Jailbroken iPhone

If you own a jailbroken iPhone than I am sad to tell you that your iPhones warranty is voided by Apple. Whys that? Well, Apple obviously doesn’t side with the jailbreak community and they don’t want to replace or fix your iPhone that could possibly be damaged due to a jailbreak. And until now, users did not have a way in which to legally take out a warranty on their jailbroken iPhone.

Since AppleCare doesn’t cover jailbroken iPhones, recently a third party company named ‘SquareTrade’ has decided to open up to providing support and replacements to jailbroken iPhone owners. This is the first service of such, and to our knowledge only covers iPhones. SquareTrade hasn’t made it clear whether iPads and iPod touches would also be included.

The cost starts at $60 and your iPhone is covered. Whether your iPhone screen cracks, or your experiencing software problems, you are covered. But please know that if the problem is specifically related to your jailbreak, such as a slow springboard, your problem will not be covered. It has to be a problem that could occur even without a jailbreak.
