‘World Biggest’ Apple Store Coming To Dalian, China Mall

According to a sign located at Parkland Mall in Dalian,China, the ‘worlds biggest’ Apple store will soon be built on location at the outside mall. The advertisement reads ‘Apple’s World’s Biggest Flagship Store will be coming soon.’ From the looks of the pictures provided we can clearly see some construction has began with the store. Apple has placed some large barricades outside the construction site in-order to stop ongoing citizens from bugging the construction workers, but that doesn’t seem to be working.

The Dalian Department store next door to the Parkland Mall sent its security team over to the Parkland Mall to actually push down the Apple store banners. The report lacks many details, but few local reports note the Dalian Department store was against Apple being apart of the construction at the Parkland Mall. A report from MIC Gadget says the department store was simply jealous that the Parkland Mall was building an Apple Store. Check out some photo’s of the construction and fighting that took place:

It sure was a huge commotion, which looked to include hundreds of security guards. It was a uneducated act by the Dalian Department store security guards overall.

The issue started yesterday when Apple posted banners with the URL ‘www.apple.com/cn’. Many people that passed by saw security guards from the Parkland Mall blocking the signs, and within 5 minutes the Dalian Department store security guards stopped by pushing down the signs. MIC Gadget even noted that 10 security guards have been recently hired by Apple to protect the posters from a similar act. Check out the video footage below:

Since the incident MIC Gadget has noted that, “Apple retail managers have arrived Dalian to solve the matter. And Apple is looking forward to build the store successfully in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Meanwhile, both security teams are negotiating.” So hopefully a resolution will soon rise out of the situation.

After all this trouble you would think Apple would want to choose another location to build their Apple store, but there is reasoning behind this location. Dalian is home to many of the rich Chinese residents, and much investment has been put into the city by Korea and Japan. With all the talk about Chinese expansion lately, this is a smart move for Apple.
